Erik ten Hag names Man Utd team to face Liverpool

Erik ten Hag has selected his Manchester United side for the big game against Liverpool, which kicks off at 16:00 BST.

Ten Hag's men are out to end Arne Slot's 100 per cent start to life as Anfield boss and the atmosphere is certain to be electric at Old Trafford.

New signing Manuel Ugarte was not registered in time to play, while Mason Mount has been ruled out due to injury.

Summer signings Matthijs De Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee make their first starts for the Reds, after coming off the bench in our two opening games, against Fulham and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Alejandro Garnacho is also introduced to the line-up, with Amad, our scorer last time out, making way. Harry Maguire is also among the substitutes, as is young striker Ethan Wheatley, following Scott McTominay's departure to Napoli on transfer-deadline day.

Noussair Mazraoui has operated on the right-hand side, thus far, with Diogo Dalot switching to the opposite flank.
