The ticket splits a $70M prize with another ticket sold in British Columbia — meaning the ticket sold in Windsor has a value of $35M.
In order to take the top prize, a Lotto MAX ticket must match all seven winning numbers in the main draw. The odds of that happening, according to the OLG, are one in 33,294,800.
Every Lotto MAX play costs $5.
The winning numbers on June 6 were: 04 07 13 16 31 32 39.
The bonus number was 26.
The owner of the incredibly lucky ticket has exactly one year from the date of the draw to claim the prize.
If confirmed, the ticket holder could be the biggest lottery winner in Windsor-Essex history.
The only comparable winner in recent memory was in Chatham-Kent in 2020, when Blenheim resident Adrian Olmstead won the entire $70M jackpot for himself in the Lotto MAX draw of April 14, 2020.
