P.K. Subban isn’t scoring any goals with fans after making light of singer Lizzo’s weight in a commentary during an ESPN broadcast.

While discussing the first game of the second round Stanley Cup playoff series between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers, Subban made a suggestion on how Toronto could rebound after its 4-2 loss to Florida.

Many took to the internet to voice their displeasure with Subban’s tone-deaf comparison.

“Lizzo sized lunch was inappropriate and unprofessional,” one tweeted, responding to one of Subban’s tweets involving “packing a lunch” and being ready to compete.

“‘Lizzo sized lunch’ is the kind of thought better left unsaid,” another stated.

“That Lizzo comment was rude, sir. Please apologize at the next break,” one said in disgust.

Neither Subban nor Lizzo had addressed the backlash as of Wednesday.

After retiring from the NHL in 2022, Subban suited up to become a hockey analyst for ESPN this past fall.

Lizzo won her fourth Grammy for Record of the Year for and appeared in a custom Chanel dress at the Met Gala in New York City.
