On Saturday, the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors played in what was likely one of the greatest regular season games in NBA history, at least in recent years. The two teams went back and forth, trading leads and body blows, and the game went into double overtime before a victor was decided.

Stephen Curry poured in 46 points and hit nine 3-pointers, including one that put Golden State ahead by a point with 5.2 seconds left in the second overtime. But right after that, LeBron James attacked the basket, got fouled and made both free throws to give the Lakers a 145-144 win. He finished with 36 points, 20 rebounds and 12 assists.

Fans on Twitter were both thrilled and impressed with L.A.’s big victory.

Lebron James has yet another game that makes me so proud he’s wears purple and gold.

He didn’t settle for the 3. Went strong to the rim and drew an undeniable foul.

He’s a Laker for life.

Just get this man to the playoffs healthy with a good team. He’ll do the rest

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, LEBRON. ATTAWAY. DO WHAT YOU DO GREATEST. DRIVE IT AND HAVE THE GUTS TO GO MAKE THE FREE THROWS. YOU FINALLY MADE 'EM BOTH. ONE WOULD'VE BEEN FINE.

“Runs from the free throw line” “Scared to get fouled late in game” “Isn’t clutch” “Doesn’t have that killer instinct” Lebron James: pic.twitter.com/e4b538bqia

Don’t take LeBron James for granted.

I truly underestimated how much Jarred Vanderbilt meant to this Lakers team
