The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team fell 13-2 to the Nipissing Lakers on Saturday (Oct. 5) night.

The Blues opened the scoring just two minutes in the first quarter, with Daniel Clarke finding the back of the net. The Lakers tied the game up late in the quarter, then took the lead five minutes into the second frame.

The Blues responded by tying the game not long after, when Caden Elliott walked in and fired a shot past the Lakers goaltender. The field was tilted for the remainder of the game, with the Lakers scoring nine unanswered goals to seal a 13-2 final score.

The Blues look to rebound tomorrow (Oct. 6) night when they host the McMaster Marauders at Varsity Stadium at 7 p.m.
