2024 featured several looks courtesy of global royalty that elevated designer profiles and current trends. Thanks to Kate Middleton, Queen Letizia of Spain, Meghan Markle and more, royal fashion dominated with idiosyncratic looks, power-suiting moments and major rewears.
With Middleton’s return to public engagements came the Princess of Wales’s proclivity for her favorite designers. The British royal family member wore looks by Alexander McQueen and Jenny Packham — two of her favorite designers — in the summer and latter half of 2024, as well as a dress by London-based brand Safiyaa to The Championships, Wimbledon, 2024 Gentleman’s Singles Final, which generated $4.8 million in Media Impact Value for the brand.
Markle continued to demonstrate her appreciation for the quiet luxury trend. The Duchess of Sussex wore pieces by Ralph Lauren, Heidi Merrick and a recycled look by Carolina Herrera, which she wore in October for an event for Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles Gala.
Queen Maxima of The Netherlands continued to style looks courtesy of Natan, while Queen Letizia opted for a few power suits and even an asymmetrical dress courtesy of Mango.
Princess Charlene opted for several designer looks in 2024, including a disco-inspired Elie Saab jumpsuit at the 2024 Rose Ball in March.
