Kacey Musgraves' Saturn has returned — to Saturday Night Live!
For her third time as musical guest on the sketch comedy show, Musgraves, 35, took the stage to perform two tracks from her upcoming sixth studio album Deeper Well.
Sporting a blue and white patchwork jacket dress, the singer opted to go barefoot to perform the new record's title track, "Deeper Well," which was introduced by the show's host for the night, Sydney Sweeney.
It's not the first time the Musgraves has opted to ditch footwear while on stage, during her 2023 Grammys performance, she also went barefoot during a performance of "Coal Miner's Daughter" that she sang in tribute to Loretta Lynn.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Musgraves also showcased a second track from her forthcoming album, "Too Good to be True." Again introduced by Sweeney, 26, the country singer opted for another blue look, this time a chic blue dress with a striking asymmetric hemline and plunging neckline, which she teamed with nude knee-high boots.
After the show, Musgraves responded to a post on X, formerly Twitter, where a fan wrote, "I just want someone to look at me the way Sydney Sweeney looks at Kacey Musgraves."
Reacting to the sweet moment, the singer couldn't help but notice something else. "The clip. I forgot to remove the clip," she wrote, referring to a hairpiece that remained in her long locks.

The seven-time Grammy winner announced Deeper Well on Feb. 8 in conjunction with the lead single, the album’s title track. Set for release on March 15, the record is vulnerable and forges a connection between the singer and her listener, Musgraves said on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music 1 show.

“I think there's hardly ever any mystery left in life, especially with artists. But at the same time, we're here to connect,” the Golden Hour singer said. While she calls herself a “homebody” who cherishes privacy, Musgraves said she aims to “f—ing put it out there” with the new album.
“It's definitely my most grounded time period yet. I'm 35 now, and I know myself better than in previous years, previous albums, and I just feel like I'm right where I need to be,” Musgraves told PEOPLE. “I definitely think that the music and hopefully the scent will reflect that.”
