Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke with the President of Argentina, Javier Milei, to discuss shared priorities and key global issues.

The Prime Minister and the President discussed the upcoming Summit on Peace in Ukraine, to be held on June 15 to 16, 2024, in Switzerland. The Prime Minister expressed that he looked forward to attending and welcomed Argentina’s participation at the Summit.

Prime Minister Trudeau reaffirmed the importance of upholding human rights, democracy, and the rules-based international order. Furthermore, the two leaders discussed shared priorities, including economic co-operation.

Prime Minister Trudeau and President Milei looked forward to remaining in regular contact.
