Cannabis products made in partnership with Arkansas golfing legend John Daly are set to debut in Arkansas dispensaries in the next two weeks.

Osage Creek Cultivation of Berryville is developing a line of edibles, flower and other products with the two-time major-winning and goodtime-loving golfer from Dardanelle. The products will debut in Osage Creek Dispensary in Eureka Springs next week before hitting the shelves at dispensaries around the state the following week, according to Daniel Fortas, chief business officer at Osage Creek Cultivation.

Daly is no stranger to cannabis. Last year, Daly endorsed the Arkansas Adult Use Cannabis Amendment that would have legalized recreational cannabis use for people 21 years and older.

The product line will begin with packages of 10 gummies at 10mg each in four flavors: Birdie Berry Blast indica gummies, J.D. Arnold Palmer hybrid gummies, Fairway Fruits sativa gummies and Chip Shot Cherry fast-acting hybrid gummies. The products carry golf-themed names in honor of Daly, the big-swinging golfer famous for winning the 1991 PGA Championship and the 1995 British Open and for promoting Hooters restaurants.

The John Daly line will eventually include edibles with a higher THC content, vape pens, vape cartridges (called Swing Coach) and other ancillary items as well as flower. Fortas said Osage Creek is still researching plant genetics to determine what strains will make up the flower in the John Daly line.

Fortas said a mutual friend connected Daly with members of the Trulove family, who own Osage Creek’s cultivation and dispensary operations.

“He wanted to team up with a company that was local to the Northwest Arkansas area, that aligned with his branding,” Fortas said.

Daly already has a line of hemp and cannabis products called the John Daly Collection that are available online and in other states, Fortas said.

Osage Creek is also undergoing a rebranding in which it is emphasizing its roots in Northwest Arkansas. The company’s new logo depicts an oak tree, modeled after a tree that is located outside the cultivation facility in Berryville, alongside a creek and carries the words “rooted in the Ozarks.” Osage Creek runs through the property where the cultivation site is located, Fortas said.

Over the next six months, consumers will notice the new logo on packaging, which will also carry a topographical map of the Ozarks, Fortas said.
