NBA Twitter reacts to Joel Embiid winning gold medal for Team USA

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid is a gold medalist. As the starting center for Team USA, he helped the Americans earn a 98-87 win over France on Saturday afternoon for the team's fifth straight gold medal. Embiid only had four points, three rebounds, and two assists, but the big fella played a role.

Embiid was able to make defensive stops on French superstar Victor Wembanyama with the gold medal on the line and made sure he was there to make big stops on the defensive end. One has to give credit to Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis for the defensive plays he made--four blocks--but Embiid deserves a ton of credit for his work on that end of the floor against both Wemby and Rudy Gobert.
