LeBron James bashes the media for Joel Embiid coverage
James criticized the media for not apologizing to Embiid after news about his injury broke out, as a story about his missed games to qualify for the MVP award ran rampant in recent weeks.
Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid suffered a meniscus injury that might keep him sidelined for a prolonged period. In response, the Los Angeles Lakers' main man, LeBron James, fired some criticism toward the media for the coverage surrounding Embiid.
A big story was made out of how many games Embiid still has left to miss to qualify to win the NBA MVP award this season. With this new injury, he will miss out on the award after being considered the favorite to win it for the second year in a row.
The day after the news broke out about the 76ers center's injury, LeBron James expressed his frustration.
"Where are all the media outlets, tv media personalities, hot takes that talked so much [s**t] about Joel Embiid about missing those games when he knew what he was dealing with," James posted on X, formerly Twitter.
"Now he's out with an injury because of it. Not 1 person has went back on tv or their dumbass podcast and apologized to that MAN!! No accountability," LeBron concluded.
