‘Sports Illustrated’ Model Olivia Ponton Reported Burglary at NFL Star Joe Burrow’s Home

Joe Burrow has been robbed of his privacy.

After model Olivia Ponton reported a burglary at his home Dec. 9, the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback broke his silence on the situation—and the stolen items were the least of his concern.

"So obviously everybody has heard what has happened,” Joe, 28, said in a press conference Dec. 11, per Sports Illustrated. “I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one.”

He admitted, “way more is already out there than I would want out there and that I care to share, so that's all I got to say about that.”

And Joe, who has been in the NFL since 2020, revealed that living in the spotlight is something he is still getting used to.

“We live a public life and one of my least favorite parts of that is the lack of privacy,” he continued. “That has been difficult for me to deal with my entire career. Still learning. But I understand it's the life that we choose. Doesn't make it any easier to deal with."

The burglary occurred just two days ago, while the NFL star was nearly 1,000 miles away for a game against the Dallas Cowboys. Meanwhile, Olivia, 22, arrived at his home to find a “shattered bedroom window and the room ransacked,” prompting her to call 911.

As for the relationship between the model and the athlete? Despite the dating rumors that sparked from the incident, the police report stated, "Ms. Ponton is employed by Mr. Burrow, and gave a non detailed itemization of what items were possibly missing."

But Joe isn’t the only NFL player who has had his home broken into as of late.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes recently dealt with home invasions themselves, only days apart from each other in October.

Travis—who is currently dating Taylor Swift—reported that his 17,000-square-foot mansion was broken into Oct. 7, resulting in a damaged backdoor and $20,000 in cash taken from his home.

For his part, Patrick—who lives with pregnant wife Brittany Mahomes and children Sterling, 3, and Bronze, 2—reported a break-in around midnight Oct. 6.

And while the police found no signs of forced entry, Patrick shared insight into the stress it placed on him and his family.

"It's frustrating," the 29-year-old said during a Nov. 13 press conference. "It's disappointing. I can't get into too many details because the investigation is still ongoing. It's obviously something you don't want happening to anybody, but especially yourself."
