The Cincinnati Bengals went above and beyond in making up for the inevitable departure of Tyler Boyd. And apparently it’s working out.
The Bengals drafted Charlie Jones and Andrei Iosivas last year and Jermaine Burton this year. They also added Mike Gesicki in free agency and drafted rookie tight end Erick All.
So far, Joe Burrow likes what he sees in these new (and relatively new) pieces after their first training camp practice this year:
I feel really good about all of our options, whether it’s Andrei, Chuck, Jermaine, Trenton [Irwin], I feel like those guys have had a great spring and they all looked good today. I feel really good about our tight end room as well. So I think this is the deepest and most talented group that we’ve had since I’ve been here from top to bottom in a lot of different spots.
