JD Vance appeared on Tucker Carlson’s former Fox News show in 2021, criticizing what he called “childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives.”

Clips from the interview are making their rounds on social media.

Aniston shared a screenshot of the interview on her Instagram story on Wednesday, writing, “I can’t believe this is coming from a potential VP of the United States.”

Aniston also took aim at Vance’s far-right stance on reproductive rights.

“Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day. I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too,” Aniston wrote.

According to TODAY, Vance and his wife have a 2-year-old daughter named Mirabel, in addition to two sons — Ewan, 6, and Vivek, 4.

Vance was among the Senate Republicans who voted in June to block legislation that would protect access to IVF, according to a report from CBS News.

A spokesperson for Vance’s campaign referred CBS News to other 2021 comments from Vance, in which he clarified that the “target of his remarks” made on Fox News regarding “childless cat ladies” are not people who are not able or can’t have children.

Aniston previously opened up about her own fertility struggles to Allure Magazine and revealed that she tried IVF in the past, saying she was trying to get pregnant in her late 30s. Ultimately, she never had children.

“I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road,” she told Allure in the November 2022 interview.

On her Instagram story Wednesday, Aniston also appeared to endorse Kamala Harris, reposting a 2018 video of Harris pressing then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on abortion rights.
