The 50th season premiere of “Saturday Night Live” airs today, Saturday, Sept. 28 at 11:30 p.m. Eastern on NBC.

If you’re a cable cord cutter, you can still watch the 50th premiere for free on streaming services including FuboTV and DirecTV Stream. You can also watch it on Sling which offers half off your first month of streaming if you’re a first-time user. SNL is also on Peacock starting at $7.99 a plan.

On the 50th premiere episode, actress Jean Smart, best known for her role in the show “Designing Women” will host and rapper Jelly Roll will perform.

Season 49 cast members Mikey Day, Andrew Dismukes, Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardner, James Austin Johnson, Ego Nwodim, Sarah Sherman and Bowen Yang are set to return. Longest-running cast member Kenan Thompson will also return.

Darrell Hammond, SNL cast member from 1995 to 2009, best known for his impressions of Bill Clinton, Al Gore and Donald Trump, will continue as announcer for season 50. He became the announcer in season 40 after the death of Don Pardo.

“Saturday Night Live,” premiered on October 11, 1975, and broadcasts live from NBC’s Studio 8H in New York City’s Rockefeller Center. Lorne Michaels is the executive producer.
