Italy (1-1-1) met Croatia (0-1-2) at Leipzig Stadium in the final Group stage match of the 2024 Euro Cup for both teams. Croatia needed a win to set itself up for a potential bid into the round of 16, and thought it had earned one after Luka Modrić became the oldest player to score in Euros history with a nifty top-shelf goal early in the second half.  

But Italy's Mattia Zaccagni's broke the Croatian crowd's heart with a shocking score eight minutes into extra time, helping Italy to advance.
