Apple today announced its iPhone 16 series smartphones, new AirPods updates and also Apple Watch updates as well, including the new Series 10.
As for when Apple will release iOS 18? Apple announced the release date is set for Monday, September 16. Also coming on this date will be iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia 15.
But iOS 18.0 won’t have Apple Intelligence yet. Apple says Apple Intelligence features will be in beta in October for iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, “with more features rolling out in the months to come.”
Apple Intelligence will be supported on Phone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPad and Mac with M1 and later, with device and Siri language set to U.S. English, at launch.
In December, Canada will get its first Apple Intelligence features with localized English (no word on when Canadian French support is coming). Apple does say in 2025, Apple Intelligence will expand to Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish.
