'Inside Out 2' Is Now Streaming On Disney+

Inside Out 2 has arrived on Disney+ more than three months after its theatrical debut. Read on to learn how to watch the biggest animated film (of all time) at home, including how some eligible viewers can take advantage of Disney+’s latest blockbuster promotion.

Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 is a sequel to the highly successful first film in the franchise, Inside Out (2015). The next installment, which premiered on June 14, features the return of Riley, who is now a teenager and must make room for new emotions.

“Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone,” the synopsis reads. Maya Hawke voices Anxiety, while Amy Poehler returns as the voice of Joy. Ayo Edebiri, Lewis Black, Phyllis Smith, Tony Hale, and Liza Lapira also make up the star-studded voice ensemble.

According to Disney, Inside Out 2 is currently the highest-grossing animated film of all time, the fastest animated film to reach $1 billion globally, and the 8th highest grossing film in global box office history. At the box office, Inside Out 2 earned $652 million domestically and more than $1 billion internationally, bringing its worldwide total to a whopping $1.68 billion, according to Box Office Mojo.

Inside Out is available to stream on Disney+ starting on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

How To Watch Inside Out 2 On Disney+

To watch Inside Out 2 on Disney+, you'll need to sign up for a subscription. From Sept. 12 to Sept. 27, Disney+ is offering its Blockbuster Deal, where new and returning customers can stream this fall’s biggest movies and shows with Disney+ Basic for just $1.99/month for three months.

After the three-month period, Disney+ Basic (With Ads) auto-renews at the then-current monthly retail price (currently $9.99/month) until canceled. Disney Bundle subscribers, Hulu subscribers with the Disney+ Add-on, and Disney+ subscribers who currently have an expired or invalid form of payment on their account are not eligible for the Disney+ Blockbuster Offer.

In addition to Disney+, Inside Out 2 is available for purchase at $19.99 on digital platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, and Fandango At Home.

Does Inside Out 2 Have A Post-Credits Scene?

Yes, Inside Out 2 has multiple end-credit scenes, so you’ll want to keep the credits rolling before you close out the movie. Without revealing spoilers, there is a mid-credits gag reel and bloopers that appear after a brief round of credits and a post-credits scene that plays at the very end.

Unfortunately, the end credits do not hint at another Inside Out movie, and Disney or Pixar has yet to confirm a third installment. The good news is that Disney is currently developing an Inside Out TV series that will premiere in 2025.

The upcoming show will take place between Inside Out and Inside Out 2 and will be set “in the studio where Riley’s dreams are made every night on time and on budget,” Pixar’s Pete Docter announced during D23‘s Disney Entertainment Showcase in August.

At the event, Pixar also revealed some footage to the audience, which showed Joy giving a tour of the studio and taking viewers through the process of making a dream.
