N.S. RCMP have ended an emergency alert that was issued after an alleged firearms incident in Indian Brook that occurred on Sunday evening.

Nova Scotia RCMP have ended an emergency alert that was issued around 7 p.m. AT on Saturday. 

The notice, which was sent to people's electronic devices, described an alleged firearms incident at a home in Indian Brook. It said police were looking for a suspect who had fled the scene on foot, and advised people in the community to stay in their homes. 

At around 10 p.m. AT police issued a tweet saying the alert had been cancelled. They also said no one was injured in the home and "no evidence of a gun being present or discharged was found." However, they continue to ask the public for information about the whereabouts of the original suspect.
