Lok Sabha Election Results Live: The counting for Lok Sabha election results will start at 8 am, and the first trends derived from postal ballot votes will become apparent soon after. A clear picture of who will form new government is likely to emerge by evening shaping India's growth story for next five years.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi anticipates holding office for a third term in office and is optimistic that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by his party, will win a record number of seats in the Lok Sabha elections. On the other hand, the opposition INDIA bloc aims to undermine Modi's political dominance by taking on BJP and its allies. On June 1, a few pollsters unanimously projected that the BJP-led coalition will win the general election with a resounding victory.

According to a poll of nine exit polls, the NDA is set to win over 350 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Notably, three pollsters forecast nearly 400 seats for the BJP-led alliance, aligning with the ambitious target set by PM Modi. Meanwhile, exit polls predicted just 143 seats for the INDIA bloc, which also includes Congress. According to News18's Mega exit poll, the INDIA alliance will win 125–140 seats, while the BJP-led NDA would win 355–370 seats. It has projected 303–315 seats for the BJP.

In 2014, the BJP won 282 seats and came to power. It raised its total to 303 in the elections of 2019. If the exit poll predictions hold true this time, the party surpasses its previous election total once more.
