After the opening match in Vishakapatnam, the IND vs AUS T20 series will be played in Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, Raipur and Bengaluru.
The last time former T20 world champions India faced Australia in the shorter format was in September last year when hosts India won the series 2-1.
India’s last T20 match at home was against New Zealand in February, where the Kiwis lost by 168 runs.
Before the ODI World Cup, Australia played a T20 series in South Africa, winning all three matches.
