Hailey Welch, who is best known as “Hawk Tuah Girl” thanks to her viral video, is finally breaking her silence on the crash of her meme coin.

Just hours after $HAWK was launched on December 4, the meme coin rose to a $490 million market cap and then minutes later it crashed to below $100 million. Investors lost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

While Hailey herself is not named in the lawsuit, investors have filed a suit against the creators of $HAWK, accusing them of “unlawfully promoting and selling cryptocurrency that was allegedly never properly registered,” according to THR.

Hailey is now speaking out after weeks of staying silent on the controversy.
