Gisele Bündchen Is Pregnant With Her and Joaquim Valente's First ...

Gisele Bündchen and Joaquim Valente are taking a big step together into parenthood. People reports that the 44-year-old model is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, 35-year-old Jiu-Jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente. Valente and Bündchen have been dating since June 2023.

A source told People in a statement, “Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life, and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family.”

Bündchen has two children, 14-year-old Benjamin and 11-year-old daughter Vivian, from her previous marriage to Tom Brady.

In March 2023, Bündchen gave her first interview following her divorce from Brady. She spoke Vanity Fair about Valente when asked about their relationship. “I think, at this point, unfortunately, because I’m divorced, I’m sure that they’re going to try to attach me to anything,” she said of tabloid speculation.

She praised Valente and his brothers Pedro and Gui, however, as they are all instructors: “I’m so grateful to know all of them, because not only have they helped me and helped my kids, but they have become great friends, and Joaquim especially.”

In the same interview, she explained what led to her and Brady’s divorce. “Sometimes you grow together; sometimes you grow apart,” she said. “When I was 26 years old and he was 29 years old, we met, we wanted a family, we wanted things together. As time goes by, we realize that we just wanted different things, and now we have a choice to make. That doesn’t mean you don’t love the person. It just means that in order for you to be authentic and truly live the life that you want to live, you have to have somebody who can meet you in the middle, right? It’s a dance. It’s a balance.”

She continued: “When you love someone, you don’t put them in a jail and say, ‘You have to live this life.’ You set them free to be who they are, and if you want to fly the same direction, then that’s amazing.”
