MORE FOR YOU

I am ringside in the Matchroom Boxing bubble for this one and will share photos throughout the evening. The undercard is already underway. While I won't be providing my unofficial scorecard for the undercard bouts, I will provide updates and round by round scoring for the main event.

Follow me on Twitter @peterkahn. I'll be here all night happy to read your comments and answer any questions. I'd love to know who you're picking to win, how and when. GGG or Szeremeta?

Here is the bout order for tonight’s card brought to you by GGG Promotions Matchroom. While I won’t be scoring the undercard, I will be scoring the main event with my unofficial scorecard as to how I see the action.

I talked with GGG’s trainer Johnathon Banks a few days ago regarding their relationship, what it was like training during the pandemic and what we should expect to see out of GGG in this fight.

THE ODDS

According to the boxing odds at BetOnline, GGG is a -2750 favorite (wager $2750 to win $100) while Szeremeta is a +1100 underdog (wager $100 to win $1100). Here are my preview and best bets for this fight.

DON'T FORGET TO SCROLL DOWN FOR THE LATEST UPDATES

Behind the scenes from yesterday’s GGG vs. Szeremeta weigh-in

The champ is in the building!

The action in the Ali Akhmedov vs. Carlos Gongora fight has been extremely entertaining as we get closer to the main event.

What a fight! Gongora KOs Akhmedov in the 12th round to win the IBO super middleweight title.

I know I said I wasn’t going to report on the undercard but this could very well have been fight of the night. Congratulation to Carlos Gongora and respect to Ali Akhmedov.

Two more fights before GGG and Szeremeta get in the ring.

Here we go!

ROUND ONE

Feeling out round for the first two minutes by both fighters. GGG winning the round behind the jab and measuring his distance. GGG knock Szeremeta down with five seconds left in the round. Round to GGG

GGG 10-8 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND TWO

GGG completely outclassing Szeremeta picking his shots and landing what he wants to the body and head. A right hand puts the challenger down again. Dominant round GGG. I sense the end is near for Szeremeta.

GGG 20-16 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND THREE

Much of the same. GGG in complete control.

GGG 30-25 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND FOUR

Much of the same. GGG in complete control. Szeremeta punches have no affect on GGG. GGG looks like he’s truing to get some rounds in. GGG drop the challenger again. Szeremeta’s corner might want to think about stopping it. It’s not a contest.

GGG 40-33 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND FIVE

GGG landing at will. Szeremeta can’t form an offense. I would like to tell you something different is happening, but every round is the same. GGG landing to the body and head and Szeremeta just eating all of GGG’s shots.

GGG 50-42 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND SIX

Nothing different. GGG dominant.

GGG 60-51 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

ROUND SEVEN

Nothing different. Szeremeta down again. GGG is too much and the challenger can’t offer anything competitive.

GGG 70-59 (Peter Kahn unofficial scorecard)

The referee stops the fight.

GGG retains his IBF middleweight belt.
