Florence Pugh's Fiery Gown for the 2024 Golden Globes Will Make ...
The red carpet is back, better, and more explosive than ever—particularly if Florence Pugh’s bombshell style has anything to say about it.
The actor, who is among the presenters at the 81st Golden Globes ceremony tonight, unsurprisingly dazzled with her red carpet arrival at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. She wore a fiery red sheer slipdress—custom-made from Valentino—which featured embroidered floral appliqué details all over and a dramatic voluminous skirt. To finish off the glamorous look, she added sparkling Tiffany & Co. jewelry and metallic silver platform pumps.

Besides taking the stage to present one of tonight’s Globes, Pugh is also part of the acclaimed ensemble of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, the historical epic that garnered eight nominations for tonight’s show, in the categories of Best Motion Picture – Drama, Best Director – Motion Picture, and Best Screenplay – Motion Picture, among others.
In Oppenheimer, Pugh plays Jean Tatlock, a psychiatrist who left a lasting impression on J. Robert Oppenheimer, the physicist famous for his instrumental role in the creation of the atomic bomb.
Pugh explained why roles like Tatlock are fascinating to her as an actor in an interview for Harper’s Bazaar’s September 2022 cover story.
“I guess all of my movies have that element of women being forced into a corner, forced into an opinion, forced into a way of life. And then finally, something cracks,” she said at the time. In reference to her performance as Alice in Olivia Wilde’s 2022 psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling, Pugh added, “I love playing a distressed woman.”
