Florence Pugh Brings the Sheer Dress Trend to the Golden Globes ...
Red was the power color of the night at tonight’s 2024 Golden Globes: The fiery hue was worn by a bevy of stars on the red carpet, including Julianne Moore, Ayo Edebiri, Danielle Brooks, and Florence Pugh. But Pugh was the only lady in red who decided to take on the “naked dress” trend, too.
The Don't Worry Darling and Dune star wore a custom Valentino tulle gown that featured thin shoulder straps and delicate floral appliqués. The sheer design, by Pierpaolo Piccioli, was romantic and upbeat—a more ethereal approach to the naked dress trend, which typically leans more sexy. (See: Kendall Jenner’s recent beachy approach to the look.) It was less about showing skin, and more about having a light, flouncy construction.
Of course, Pugh's beauty game was similarly daring; her quirky faux-hawk adding some lovely edge to the ensemble as well. All together, she managed to look particularly red hot in a night of many strong red looks.
