Toronto police have released the name of the victim killed in a triple shooting at Fairview Mall in North York on Monday.

Police responded to a shooting at about 4:11 p.m. in the underground parking lot of the mall, located at Sheppard Avenue East and Hwy. 404.

According to police, officers found two 25-year-old men with gunshot wounds.

Both are currently in hospital, one with life-threatening injuries and one without.

A third man taken to hospital in a personal vehicle died from his gunshot wounds, according to police. Police said they had “sufficient information” to believe the third man was at the scene of the shooting.

Police said the deceased is 21-year-old Madar Hassan of Toronto.

Toronto Duty Insp. Mike Hayles described the daytime incident as “very brazen” and urged witnesses with dash cam footage to come forward.
