McLaren locked out the front row of the grid for the Hungarian Grand Prix, with Lando Norris taking his third Formula 1 pole position ahead of team-mate Oscar Piastri.

Norris managed to beat his team-mate by 0.022 seconds, while Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was third, just 0.046s off the ultimate pace.

Carlos Sainz was the fastest Ferrari in fourth, ahead of Lewis Hamilton who edged Charles Leclerc by just 0.051s to claim fifth.

The two Ason Martins are line astern in seventh and eighth, ahead of the two RBs that rounded out the top 10. Yuki Tsunoda starts the race from 10th, having crashed out in the latter part of Q3.

Haas just missed out on Q3, with Nico Hulkenberg 11th, while both Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant got stuck in traffic in their Williams on their final Q2 runs to end up 13th and 14th respectively.

Sergio Perez will start 16th, having crashed in Q1, with George Russell starting one place behind, having dropped out in Q1 because he didn’t have enough fuel to do a final flying lap on a drying track.

Both Alpines will start from the back, having not been out on track at the end of Q1 when the circuit began to dry right out.
