Extreme cold warning continues in West Central

Extreme cold warning

Frigid temperatures continue to blanket West Central Saskatchewan heading into Tuesday evening. The cold snap will persist through the night before easing Wednesday afternoon.

The following weather statement was issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada:

Extreme Cold Warning in effect for:

Kindersley - Rosetown - Biggar - Wilkie - Macklin

Overnight lows of minus 30 to minus 35 combined with 10 to 15 km/h winds will produce extreme wind chill values of minus 40 and colder Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Extreme cold puts everyone at risk.

Extreme cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite and hypothermia.
