Quarterback Jalen Hurts went down with a concussion early in the game, leaving Kenny Pickett to come in. Washington scored with 10 seconds remaining to take the lead and win the game.

After Braden Mann's opening kick was short of the landing zone, Washington took over at their own 40. On 4th-and-1 from their own 49, the Eagles' defense made a big-time stop to open the game when Josh Sweat brought down Brian Robinson Jr. to give the offense the ball.
