Reports: Crazy Town frontman Shifty Shellshock dies at 49

(Gray News) – Crazy Town frontman Shifty Shellshock died at his home in Los Angeles on Monday, according to reports.

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s website, Shellshock, whose birthname was Seth Binzer was 49, Variety reports.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of death.

According to TMZ, Shellshock and Bret “Epic” Mazur formed Crazy Town in 1999, hiring bandmembers Rust Epique, Doug Miller, James Bradley Jr., Antonio Lorezno Valli and Adam Goldstein.

The rap-rock group released the hit single “Butterfly” in 2000. The track hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for two non-consecutive weeks.

According to Variety, Shellshock is survived by his three children, Halo, Gage and Phoenix.
