Danone Canada is asking customers not to eat certain yogurt cups sold at Costco stores between Sept. 3 and Sept. 19.
On Costco's website, the company said Kirkland Signature Probiotic Yorgurt, Costco item 1264134, is being recalled.
"Danone Canada is recalling the Kirkland Signature Probiotic Yogurt as the product may contain a type of yeast that could cause illness to individuals with a compromised immune system," Costco said on its website. "The food safety risk is low, as this yeast is not known to grow in refrigerated temperatures."
Products affected include the following best-before dates:
2024 OC 182024 OC 202024 OC 22"If you have the Kirkland Signature Probiotic Yogurt in your possession, do not consume it," the company added. "You may return the affected product to a Costco warehouse to obtain a full refund."
The companies apologized for the inconvenience.
This is the second Danone yogurt recall issued by Costco this month, with a Sept. 10 recall notice posted for the 24 pack of Kirkland Signature brand Greek Yogurt, after a mould was detected inside the containers.
