The U.S. men's national soccer team opens a busy summer of continental competition Thursday night with a Concacaf Nations League semifinal against rival Mexico.

The USMNT also will working through the competitions with its third manager since the 2022 World Cup. After Gregg Berhalter's contract expired after the World Cup, Anthony Hudson became interim coach. However, Hudson recently left the program for a "new opportunity" in Qatar. Enter longtime USMNT assistant B.J. Callaghan, who will guide the squad through the Nations League finales and the Gold Cup, which the USMNT opens June 24 against Jamaica at Chicago's Soldier Field.

The USMNT are the reigning Concacaf Nations League winners, defeating Mexico in an extra-time thriller on June 6, 2021 in Denver. It followed up that triumph by defeating Mexico 1-0 in extra time in the Gold Cup final on Aug. 1, 2021 in Las Vegas. The U.S. men return to Allegiant Stadium with a four-game unbeaten streak against Mexico, after having won 2-0 and tying 0-0 in World Cup qualifiers, then tying 1-1 in the inaugural Continental Clásico in the rivals' most recent encounter on April 19.

This time, the two meet in a semifinal, with the winner advancing to face either Panama or Canada in the Concacaf Nations League final on Sunday (8:30 p.m. ET on Paramount+ and Univision).

Kickoff is slated for 10 p.m. ET on Thursday, June 15 at Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders. The U.S.-Mexico game follows the Panama-Canada semifinal, which kicks off at 7 p.m. ET in the same stadium.
