While the civic holiday is not a statutory one, many stores will be operating on a holiday schedule. Here’s a look at what will be open and closed this civic holiday Monday.

Most LCBO and Beer stores will remain open along with most major grocery stores, malls and Shoppers Drug Mart locations open with regular or reduced hours.

Government offices and buildings are closed across all regions.

Hamilton

Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule ATS Darts service operate on a holiday schedule Waste collection will not occur on Monday and will be pushed one day Most stores are open All public libraries are closed The Art Gallery of Hamilton is open The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is open

Niagara Region

Transit is operating on a holiday schedule in Niagara Falls, St Catharines and Welland There is no transit service in Fort Erie No changes to garbage pickup City splash pads are open The St. Catharines public library will be closed Most stores remain open Most tourist attractions in Niagara Falls will be open

Halton Region

Transit running on a Sunday schedule in Burlington and Oakville Transit will not be running in Milton Some city pools, splash pads, arenas and community centres will be operating. Free parking will be available in Burlington in the downtown core in municipal lots, on-street and in the parking garage.
