Chelsea vs Brentford lineups: Azpilicueta returns
Frank Lampard has made three changes to his side to take on Brentford in the Premier League tonight, including the return of captain Cesar Azpilicueta.
Two of those changes are forced on Frank Lampard, including Kai Havertz, who misses the game after picking up a knee problem and is replaced in attack by Raheem Sterling. Behind him, Conor Gallagher and N’Golo Kante both retain their places from last week’s Champions League tie against Real Madrid.
The other two alterations to the line-up from our last match come on the wings, where Reece James has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a hamstring injury against Real Madrid, making way for the return of Cesar Azpilicueta to skipper the side on his first appearance since going off with a head injury against Southampton more than two months ago. Ben Chilwell comes in for Marc Cucurella on the left.
Enzo Fernandez and Mateo Kovacic continue their partnership in midfield, while the back three of Wesley Fofana, Thiago Silva and Trevoh Chalobah ahead of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga are also unchanged.
Brentford have made four changes to the side which drew with Aston Vila at the weekend. Experienced centre-back Zanka and wing-back Mads Roerslev both come into the team, while midfielder Frank Onyeka and striker Yoane Wissa are also introduced.
