On the final hole, Grillo's drive found its way into a small stream, causing the ball to roll back 150 yards before coming to rest against a rock. Faced with this setback, Grillo opted to take a penalty stroke and executed a two-putt from 20 yards, resulting in a tie with Schenk.

Meanwhile, Schenk managed to make par on the closing hole, while English PGA Tour rookie Harry Hall needed a par to force a playoff. Unfortunately, Hall faltered with a bogey after his drive landed in the water, ultimately finishing tied for third alongside world number one American Scott Scheffler at 7-under.

In the playoff, Grillo clinched the title on the second extra hole with a five-foot birdie putt, marking his first tour win in over seven years. With a final round score of 68, he concluded the tournament at 8-under.

Expressing his joy, the Argentine golfer conveyed his delight, stating, "Obviously it's great," in an interview with pgatour.com.

"It made everything worth it. The playing, all the hours practicing, the effort from my family. It makes you think when you started playing all the emotions come through your heart. It's been tough, but it's worth every second," expressed Grillo, reflecting on his victory. His previous triumph came in Napa back in 2015. Throughout this season, Grillo has showcased his talent with four top 10 finishes.

Adam Schenk, the American golfer, secured a second-place finish for the second time this season, further fueling his determination to capture his first tour win.
