Two nights after defeating the Washington Capitals in overtime, the Canadiens have travelled to Buffalo to face the Sabres. Despite one bad game last week, Montreal has gotten off to a good start with points in three of its first four games. The Sabres, however, have just four points from five contests in this early season.
Buffalo had greater expectations ahead of the season, but to this point, three goals is the maximum they’ve scored in any game, after netting at least four in half of their games a season ago. The Sabres’ offence is still slumbering to start the year, and the Habs, backed up once again by Jake Allen, will try to keep it that way for at least one more match.
