Canada’s Wonderland is investigating after a teen fell from a ride on Thursday.

Officers were called to the scene shortly before 2:45 p.m  for reports of an injured person. A 17-year-old girl was taken to a trauma centre.

Canada’s Wonderland told Now Toronto that the guest was injured on the Swing of the Century ride. It is unknown how they fell.

“Park medical staff and EMS responded, and the guest was taken to hospital…,” the park said in an email statement on Friday.

The person reportedly fell 30 to 40 feet from the ride, York Region Paramedics told CP24.

An incident investigation is now underway, the theme park confirmed.

The ride has since reopened after the Technical Standards and Safety Authority cleared it to do so, according to the park.

“The safety of our guests and associates is our top priority,” its statement concluded.
