It's the first snow day of the year for Timmins-area students.
North East Tri-Board Student Transportation has announced that school vehicles are cancelled in Timmins, Matheson, Iroquois Falls, Cochrane, Smooth Rock Falls, Kapuskasing, Kirkland Lake, and Hearst.
Schools remain open.
The North East Tri-Board Student Transportation provides services for District School Board Ontario North East, the Northeastern Catholic District School Board, and Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario.
