The Milwaukee Bucks unveiled their 2024-25 City Edition with a goal to honor sport’s unifying impact and the Bucks’ ability to connect the fans and communities that make Milwaukee special.  

In the Ojibwe language, ominowakiing (or Milwaukee) means “Gathering place [by the water]” as the Bucks’ City Edition jersey will be the fourth, and final, uniform inspired by this historical moniker. 

The uniform features Great Lakes Blue, which was added to the Bucks color palette in 2015 as a tribute to Lake Michigan and the three rivers that run through Milwaukee. It prominently displays the border of Wisconsin along the front and sides, with the team name featured on the chest to celebrate fans statewide.

Milwaukee, which is written along the shorts and represented by the placement of the Bucks basketball logo on the border outline further commemorates the city that the team calls home.
