Canadiens trailing the Blues Jackets 3-2 after two periods
Montreal scored two consecutive power-play goals to complete the comeback.

Cole Caufield does it again, with his second overtime goal of this young season to seal the deal, as the Canadiens beat the Blue Jackets 4-3.
Sean Monahan tipped in a Caufield shot to make it 3-3 in the third period. Amazingly enough, given the power play woes of the Habs, that was the second straight goal on the man advantage for the CH.

Things were looking pretty bleak for Habs fans as the clock wound down on the second period and then Mike Matheson whipped off a beautiful wrister from the point. All of a sudden there were signs of life once again at the Bell Centre.

That goal made it 3-2 for the Columbus Blue Jackets. Until then Montreal hadn’t looked particularly good for much of the soirée. Even better, Matheson’s goal came on the power play, which looked brutal earlier tonight and for much of the season. The other Montreal goal came from Nick Suzuki, who finally scored his first goal of the season.
Jack Roslovic and Emil Bemstrom scored for Columbus in the first period. There were not many positives to take away from that frame for Habs fans.
