Who is Bettina Anderson? Donald Trump Jr spotted with Florida ...
Donald Trump Jr. has repeatedly been pictured alongside Bettina Anderson, a model and socialite from Palm Beach in Florida, which also hosts his father and the incoming president's Mar-a-Lago resort, amid reports of a relationship.
On December 11, the Daily Mail reported that Trump Jr.'s engagement to Kimberly Guilfoyle, which took place in 2020 and was revealed to the public two years later, was "over." Speaking to the publication, "one source familiar with the family" said the couple was waiting until after Donald Trump's second inauguration as president, on January 20, 2025, before making a public announcement.
In August, the Daily Mail published photographs of Trump Jr. having lunch with Anderson at The Honor Bar in Palm Beach, with the newspaper alleging the couple were seen kissing several times.
Earlier this month, the publication reported that Trump Jr. and Anderson had shared a meal to celebrate her 38th birthday, after which the pair were photographed walking down the street together.
Newsweek contacted Donald Trump Jr. via the Trump Organization press office and Bettina Anderson via Instagram direct message and email for comment on Wednesday outside of regular office hours.
On December 10, Trump announced he had nominated Guilfoyle, who was formerly married to now California Governor Gavin Newsom, to be the next U.S. ambassador to Greece. In a statement, Guilfoyle said she was "honored to accept" the nomination and would work towards "delivering on the Trump agenda."
Anderson is the daughter of the late Harry Loy Anderson Jr., a business tycoon who shot to prominence when he became president of Worth Avenue National Bank at the age of just 26. Her mother, Inger Anderson, is a philanthropist who also lives in Palm Beach where she has a $11.5 million home.
After studying art history, criticism and conservation at Columbia University, Anderson worked as a model for various publications. According to US Weekly in 2022, she modeled for Hamilton Jewelers and appeared on the cover of society magazine Palm Beach Illustrated earlier this year.
In 2005 she co-founded The Paradise Fund, since renamed Project Paradise, along with her brothers Loy and Kent. The fund is dedicated to "protecting Florida's environment and telling Florida's stories through the arts."
Anderson is currently listed as being on the Project Paradise committee, where her profile describes her as "passionate about protecting Florida wildlife and preserving the natural treasures that make Florida such a unique and beautiful place to live." It also claims that, as a passionate diver, Anderson has "a unique and special lens for witnessing the impact that over-development is having on our natural waters and marine wildlife."
On Instagram, where she regularly posts photographs of herself posing or at various events, Anderson describes herself as "just your typical stay-at-home mom... only I don't do household chores... or have a husband... or have kids." She has over 40,000 followers on the platform.
During a 2016 interview with Palm Beach Illustrated, Anderson said her hobbies were flying, spear fishing—which "I love"—and spending time with her nephews.
Anderson attended the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in September, where she was pictured sitting behind Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle. Page Six reported that Anderson was seen talking with her friend Vanessa Trump, Trump Jr.'s ex-wife and the mother of his five children, claiming the pair were "close friends."
