Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies reluctant to celebrate much ...
Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies appreciated the team’s 5-0 demolition of Werder Bremen, but was already wary of what lies ahead during the postgame media scrum.
Next Saturday, the Bavarians will take on reigning Bundesliga champion Bayer Leverkusen.
”We’re happy with the win, but we know that the next big task is ahead. We are looking forward to the game against Leverkusen. We are confident. They deserved to be champions last year, but it was not nice to watch them get the trophy. It will definitely be a great game.,” Davies said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Davies completed 95% of his passes, won five ground duels, had two key passes, and only lost possession 14 times in 90 minutes (a nice drop off from the 22.9 lost possession average per 90 minutes from last season). The Canadian played an efficient and intelligent game, which could mean trouble for Bayer Leverkusen — and any other team standing in Bayern Munich’s way.
