Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan’s romance has come to an end, Us Weekly can confirm.

“Sabrina and Barry are broken up,” a source exclusively tells Us. “They had a little bit of a break a few months ago but this break was very recent.”

The insider adds that the twosome’s friends don’t believe “they’re getting back together.”

People was first to report that Carpenter, 25, and Keoghan, 32, had called it quits after dating for nearly one year.

Us has reached out to Carpenter and Keoghan for comment.

Carpenter and Keoghan were first linked in December 2023. The pair continued to fuel romance rumors as they attended several of the same public events, including a Grammys afterparty in February and the Vanity Fair Oscars party in March. Us confirmed in March that Carpenter and Keoghan made things official earlier that year.

“They really took things slow at first, but the relationship is going strong,” a source exclusively told Us at the time. “They are both very casual people and enjoy being low-key in their downtime. They aren’t putting too much pressure on things, and Sabrina loves that Barry understands she is extremely busy with her work commitments right now.”

Keoghan and Carpenter made their red carpet debut as a couple in May at the Met Gala. While they walked solo, the twosome posed for photos together at the top of the event’s iconic stairs.

The following month, Keoghan made a cameo in Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” music video. The duo played love interests who connected while in jail.

“I liked the idea of falling in love with a convict and being shocked and embarrassed every time he commits crimes,” the singer said of working with her boyfriend in a June interview with Vogue. “I was sooo lucky to get Barry Keoghan in the video cause he is just magic on screen.”

When it was revealed last month that Carpenter earned seven Grammy nominations — including Best New Artist, Album of the Year and Song of the Year — Keoghan gushed about how “proud” he was of her and all that she’s accomplished so far.

“I don’t know anyone who works as hard, you know?” the actor said during an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show With Julia Cunningham. “I’m in awe of her, watching her work and her [commitment] and the standards that she sets, especially being on that [‘Please Please Please’] music video. She knows the vision, she knows what she wants.”
