Avril Lavigne tour to stop in Ottawa this August
Lavigne said she will be playing the hits from all seven of her albums and is open to requests from fans.

Pop-punk singer Avril Lavigne is embarking on a major tour this summer, with a planned stop in Ottawa on Aug. 14.
The Napanee-raised musician will play the Canadian Tire Centre as part of her 27-date Greatest Hits tour, which starts in Vancouver on May 22, travels throughout North America, makes a few stops in Europe and winds down in Edmonton on Sept. 16. Opening the Ottawa show are Simple Plan and Girlfriends.

Lavigne was 17 when Complicated, the first single from her 2002 debut album, Let Go, hit the top of the charts in several countries. Now 39, she returned to her pop-punk roots with her 2022 album, Love Sux, her first studio recording in three years. She was inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame last year.

In announcing the upcoming tour on X, formerly known as Twitter, Lavigne said she will be playing the hits from all seven of her albums and is open to requests from fans.
“This is gonna be too much stupid fun celebrating my career with my friends and fans,” she wrote. ”Who’s coming???? What songs do you want to hear???”
