Apple Martin makes her society debut in a fairy-tale blue Valentino ...
Apple Martin officially stepped into the spotlight this weekend.
As the daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, the 20-year-old has largely kept out of the public eye — but last night at Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris, she marked a new chapter in her life. Brimming with old-school glamour, the social event saw Apple formally make her debut into society wearing custom Valentino.

For the special occasion, she turned to Alessandro Michele, the creative director of Valentino, known for his distinct love of opulence. Accordingly, he whipped up a debutante dress that matched the evening’s grandeur.
His creation, a strapless sky-blue gown made with six dégradé tiers of silk plissé chiffon, reportedly took his atelier more than 750 hours of work. Cinched at the waist with a black silk bow, the ruched evening dress served as the perfect ensemble for Martin’s debut, and she complemented the look with a pair of strappy Valentino Garavani Ladycrush sandals in a matching shade of blue.
The young debutante wasn’t the only attendee in Valentino, either: Paltrow stepped out to Le Bal in a polka-dot look from Valentino's spring 2025 collection, while Michele also dressed Martin’s father, as well as her brother Moses, in custom tuxedos. Paltrow shared a round-up of snaps from the occasion on Instagram, captioning the photos, “A special long weekend in Paris.”
Martin joins a long line of notable young women who have made their debut at the annual Paris event. In recent years, Le Bal debutantes have included Lily Collins, Ava Philippe, Scout Willis, and Margaret Qualley — although Martin was the first out of these to wear custom Alessandro Michele.
