CRONYISM

I can’t believe Danielle Smith’s decision to appoint Alison Redford to be on the board of directors for Invest Alberta Corporation. Redford was the epitome of out of touch, self-entitled politicians. Redford’s sky palace fiasco and abuse of government jets and travel expenses provided the runway for Rachel Notley and the NDP to take control of Alberta in 2015. Considering how vindictive Danielle Smith appears to be to Dr. Deena Hinshaw (former AHS chief medical officer). It certainly is starting to feel Smith’s out of touch with average Albertans and that the old Tory cronyism is alive and well.

DWAYNE SCHULTZ

(It’s a glaring example of rewarding party incompetence.)

OUT OF WHACK

That’s the only way to describe Edmonton’s Mayor Sohi and his supporting elected city councillors now. Recent polling shows all of you have minimal support from Edmonton taxpayers. Priorities for taxpayers include pothole repair, snow removal, garbage collection and lawn maintenance in public spaces, which are none of the elected elitist priorities. All the while keeping property tax increases to the minimum in these inflationary times. Mister Sohi and associates, you’ve failed us.

DARYL COTE

(They sure seem to be tone deaf.)

INEFFECTIVE TAX

This Liberal-NPD government is not worth the cost which the average Canadian has suffered for the past eight years. I have three jobs just to pay our bills and even that does not seem to be enough. My wife and I borrow just to pay the bills which are coming in weekly. This carbon tax would be a good idea if the money went to reduce the carbon print which is imposed upon our world. Even if Canada disappeared from the plant, our absence would not make a difference in global warming.

LORNE VANDERWOUDE

(It’s hard to see what effect the tax has.)

NOBODY SLEEPS

So NDP MP Laurel Collins asked Suncor CEO Rich Kruger how he could sleep at night? He should have in turn asked her how she could sleep at night, due to the cost of living going up with every green policy, the carbon tax prime example.

CURTIS RADCLIFFE

(Nobody seems to be handling the climate change file very well.)
