UFC 295 full card results, schedule for Jiri Prochazka vs. Alex ...

In the UFC 295 main event at Madison Square Garden on November 11, former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka faces former middleweight champion Alex Pereira for the vacant 205 belt.

Prochazka won the belt from Glover Teixeira in June 2022 but vacated it due to injury. A former kickboxing and UFC middleweight champion, Pereira trains with Teixeira and competes in his second light heavyweight fight in the octagon.

The light heavyweight belt has gone through a game of hot potato since Jones relinquished the belt in 2020. Jamahal Hill, the most recent champion, ruptured his Achilles tendon and was forced to give the belt up. Looking to fight the winner, Hill gave The Schmo insight into who could win the potentially violent contest.

“I don't know if it ends with a knockout, but I see a way where both men could land and end it with a knockout,” Hill said via Sherdog. “I think the knockout is more probable for Pereira. If Prochazka wants to end it within the distance, it will probably be submission.”

The co-main event will see Tom Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich fight for the interim UFC heavyweight title. Ranked fourth in the heavyweight rankings, Aspinall returned from a one-year layoff due to surgery and defeated Marcin Tybura in July. Ranked second in the rankings, Pavlovich is on a six-fight win streak, with all wins via knockout. He beat Curtis Blaydes to cement himself as a title contender.

At one point, Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic was supposed to be the main event at MSG. An injury to Jones resulted in several altered plans, which could help the card produce several Fight of the Year candidates.

The Sporting News will provide results from the entire UFC 295 card. Stay tuned!
